The Papal Plan For Restoration

By Robert Wolfe

Restoring The Catholic Priesthood

A Study Guide For Catholic Laity, Seminarians, And Clergy

As the title suggests, this book describes a plan taken from key papal encyclicals that engendered and safeguarded the vitality of the Catholic faith in the prospering per-Conciliar Church. The book is the appeal of a Catholic layman on behalf of a growing number of traditional Catholics laboring in the Church for the restoration of vitality in faith, liturgy, and the priesthood. It quotes pre-Conciliar popes explaining the reasons for the crisis of faith that rocked the Church after Vatican II, uses statistical data to link the predictions of those popes to the crisis that did occur, outlines their pre-Conciliar papal plan to remedy the crisis, shows statistically that their plan has actually sustained the vitality of the faith in small traditional Catholic communities throughout the world since the Council, and urges Catholic bishops to therefore consider that plan as a means for restoring vitality in the entire Church today.

Softcover, 197 pages

In the Book:

A wake-up call for Catholics

Modern popes quoted acknowledging the crisis in the Church.

Extensive statistics on problems currently facing the Church.

A thorough study guide on the problems and their proposed solutions.

More than twenty papal encyclicals quoted.

Six key encyclicals studied in detail.

Six elements of the Plan developed from the encyclicals.

Ten cause and effect relationships developed, statistically linking the crisis with the implementation of Vatican II.

Statistical evidence that the current crisis could have been prevented had the bishops at Vatican II not ignored the warnings of pre-Conciliar popes.

A logical, defendable, statistical estimate of the large number of Catholic priests the Church would have today if Vatican II had not occurred and pre-Conciliar Church growth had been fostered and encouraged to continue.

Statistical evidence that the current shortage of priests has a proven remedy that is not being implemented or seriously considered by our bishops.

Statistics on vital Catholic communities successfully implementing the Plan.

New seminaries ordaining many traditional priests for the Extraordinary Form Mass.

Integral to the study guide is an extensive survey questionnaire on the Faith, the Mass and The Plan.

Divine Parables Explained: or The Church of the Parables

Father Joseph Prachensky, S.J.

Never have you heard the parables of Our Lord explained like this learned American Jesuit did in 1890 when this work was first published. Here, in his own words from the introduction, is the author’s reason for publishing this magnificent work:
The bible tells us it was given to the Apostles to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven either in parables or plain words. If that was so (and who will doubt it?), who has it now? And to whom is it given, if not to their legitimate successors, who were to continue the work which the Apostles had begun, even to the consummation of ages?
If, then, the kind reader of these pages finds in them a more accurate, faithful, and thorough explanation of our Lord’s parables than he ever received from any sectarian preacher, let him bear in mind that the bishops and priests of the Catholic Church are the legitimate and only true successors of those to whom the Savior said: “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.”
I have selected for exposition only those of the parables that relate to Catholic dogmas controverted by the sects, and I pass over those which contain only lessons of morality never impugned or denied by any one bearing the name of Christian, at least in theory.

History of Councils (cont.) & Mass Psalms MP3

By Br. Francis M.I.C.M.

In this session [AC-3] of his course Br. Francis continues his brilliant talks on the history of the twenty-one Councils of the Church. The first six Councils of the West, which all took place during the period of the eight Crusades (1095-1291), are studied in these lectures. A portion of the class time is spent discussing the liturgical Psalms as they are used by the Church in the Ordinary of the Mass. There are eleven such Psalms (chapters 17, 25, 42, 50, 84, 85, 101, 115, 117, 123, & 140), which the Latin Church has adopted over the centuries into its liturgy for the holy sacrifice. Br. Francis explains why these Psalms were chosen and how they relate to the Mass in the specific location in which they are liturgically placed. Included with this set of fourteen classes is a collection of notes that were handed out to the students at the time. All the eleven Psalms are given in Latin, the Rosary prayers as well, many notes from the history class, and a listing of the twenty-one Councils are included in the notes.

Pentecost and Corpus Christi Sermon MP3

By Fr. Dennis Smith

Sermons for Pentecost and Corpus Christi

Sunday sermons of a great preacher and friend of St. Benedict Center, Fr. Dennis Smith. At the time the sermons were given, July 1988 until August 1989, Fr. Smith was serving as chaplain for the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. A truly gifted orator Father’s deep and abiding love for Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother provided him with the zeal necessary to move the hearts of everyone in the congregation. Following the traditional liturgical sequence, the sermons have the Epistle and Gospel as their basis, but they are more pastoral than exegetical. Father had a wonderful ability to translate the scriptural text into current context so that his listeners could “take the scriptures home” so to speak and put them into action. The lessons issuing from this gifted priest’s pulpit admit no compromise, yet if they disturb consciences (which they do) they are balanced with the balm of mildness. Their content is rich in Catholic doctrine, devotion, and tradition as well as right morals. There is not one iota of false ecumenism or silly levity.
