By Br. Francis Maluf, M.I.C.M., Br. Anthony Mary MICM (tert.)
In this series, Br. Francis continues his brief series of Latin lessons, as described in AC-05, 06, and 07. The major portion of these lectures is a course on the history of the Catholic Church in the 19th century. The area of discussion centers upon the liberal revolution within Christendom, against the Church, and particularly the Papacy. The time period covered is primarily that from Gregory XVI to Pius IX. In the upcoming Christmas session the same theme is treated while covering the lives of the succeeding Popes Leo XIII and St. Pius X.
