How many are aware of the valiant efforts of religious and laymen to convert the Protestants in the early history of these United States? Though Catholics were a small minority and very much persecuted in all of the thirteen colonies that made up our original states, we had many courageous apostles who made it their mission to labor for the conversion of the heretics. Brother Andre introduces his audience to about a dozen of these intrepid laborers who, were it not for the liberalism of many Americanist bishops, may have succeeded in making a Catholic America.
