Lloyd, Mr. Gregory P.
Gregory Lloyd was born February 23, 1962, the fourth son of five children to Richard Joseph and Martina Anne (Penny) Lloyd. By the grace of God, his parents brought Gregory Peter to the Waters of Holy Baptism a fortnight later. His parents dutifully formed their son in the holy Catholic Faith, and Greg is a practicing Catholic to this day, Deo gratias.
In 1984 Gregory was graduated maxima cum laude from La Salle College in Philadelphia, having dual-majored in languages and literature. After that, he matriculated for one year at the Universität Trier (West Germany), where, as a Fulbright scholar, he studied the literature of the contemporary German poet, and Catholic convert, Werner Bergengruen.
Returning to his native state of Pennsylvania in July 1985, Greg worked as an independent salesman with Safeguard Business Systems. He left sales a little over a year later to accept a full-time scholarship to study philosophy at the International Academy of Philosophy in the Principality of Liechtenstein. There Greg was conferred a master’s degree in arts (philosophy).
In September 1988, he married Susan R. Tardiff of New Hartford, NY, and the couple now resides in Whitehall, Pennsylvania, with their six daughters, Catherine, Maureen, Mary Grace, Eileen Marie, Marie-Bernardé, and Melanie (ages 17 to 2), and their son Joseph (age two months).
From August 1989 until May 1991, Greg taught philosophy and foreign languages at Alvernia College in Reading, PA. Since June 1991, Greg has served as Executive Director of the National Coalition of Clergy & Laity, an apostolate working for a genuine Catholic Restoration.
