Our Metaphysical Dream: The Politics of Christendom as Vision and Remedy for National and International Ills
Entrusting the outcome of his presentation to the Holy Ghost, Commander John Sharpe, retired Naval officer, publisher, and schola director, draws on his vast knowledge of Church history and Catholic social teaching, to emphasize the point that, since Christendom is the only place in history where the tranquility of order actually existed, and since serious-minded men will never stop thinking, speaking, and working towards the rebuilding of that Christendom—our hope for the future lies in their efforts of the present. Christendom must be rebuilt, Sharpe argues, not in time but in morals, in social standards, in ideas and principles.
