This talk is about how American Catholics have become assimilated into secular, liberal democratic culture and would likely resist any attempt to "reconquer" America and reestablish a more traditional Catholic society. He argues that this assimilation makes American Catholics unlike Muslims, who remain clearly distinct from European Christian culture. He criticizes American Catholics for adopting "Protestant notions of liberty" and embracing pluralism, multiculturalism, and democracy over traditional Catholic beliefs.
